| Description: This lecture will discuss relevant issues to tissue engineering in the context of periodontology. It will highlight stem cell therapeutic approaches to bone regeneration and will cover topics related to the identification, harvesting, and treatment of periodontal and bone progenitor cells. Preclinical models of periodontal and bone regenerative applications will also be reviewed, and finally, translation of laboratory and preclinical findings to clinical application will be addressed. | ||||||||
